According to Grace Cheng, foreign currency trading should be a sport and the trader's activities a game. This will take the pressure off and make for more relaxed forex trading.  When the stakes are high and pressure is unbelievable people are adversely affected in some ways whether it is mental or physical.  A select few are immune to this regardless of the circumstances. How is this possible? High performing athlete's have been asked this question about exemplary performance under immense pressures. Robert Horry of NBA basketball fame, when asked this question and many people were on the edge of their seats for the answer.  His reply was< "I just like to play basketball and have fun-a lot of the guys take the game too seriously-as you know, in crunch time, I am out there still smiling and enjoying the game. You got to enjoy it".  He was immune to the pressure around him.

According to Cheng, the same lesson can be applied to foreign currency trading. Many forex traders feel pressure and can be affected adversely causing them to make bad trading decisions. If currency trading can be considered just a game to be won or lost, then maybe outside pressures can be dismissed and a firmer focus be put on the task of trading with little distraction and more profitable decisions can be made.
